ApkaOS is built for schools, which means it is built around records about children and their families. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect on this website today, what we will handle once your school is on the platform, and the commitments that do not change.
Information we collect on this website
This site is currently a pre-launch page. The only information we collect is what you type into the early access form and choose to send us:
- Your school name
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
How we use it
We use your details for exactly one purpose: to contact you about ApkaOS early access, arrange a demo and answer your questions. We do not add you to unrelated marketing lists, we do not sell or rent your details, and we do not share them with third parties for their own purposes.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time by writing to hello@apkaos.com, and we will remove it from our records.
School and student data on the platform
Once your school uses ApkaOS, your institution is the owner and controller of its data. ApkaOS acts as a processor: we store and process that data to provide the service, and for nothing else.
We never sell student data. We never mine it to build advertising profiles. We do not use identifiable student data to train machine learning models for other customers.
Access and support
Access to school data is denied by default for our team. When a support issue genuinely requires it, our staff can only enter with your school’s explicit approval. That access is scoped to the issue, expires automatically, and is written to an audit log your school can review.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256. Each school is isolated from every other tenant. Accounts support multi-factor authentication, and permissions are enforced per role and per module. We keep encrypted backups and test our restore procedures.
Retention and export
Your school can export its data in full, in open formats, at any time. If your school leaves ApkaOS, we delete its data on request, and otherwise within 90 days of the account closing, apart from anything we are legally required to retain.
Cookies
This pre-launch page sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. If that changes before launch, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@apkaos.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects schools using the platform, notify them directly.
