What West Bengal Board schools need to do
West Bengal has two boards: WBBSE for Madhyamik and WBCHSE for Higher Secondary, which now follows a semester system.
Run Higher Secondary in four semesters
WBCHSE introduced semesters for Class 11 from 2024-25 and Class 12 from 2025-26. Semesters I and II are conducted by the school itself, and Semesters III and IV by the Council.
